Based in the heart of The Pantiles, The Philanthropist is a local independent café and bar in Tunbridge Wells where you can grab a strong coffee, a pot of tea, or a sweet pastry.

Pop in for a quiet morning with your four-legged friend, catch up with friends, or settle in with a book from our shelves… all profits from book sales go to local charity, Mental Health Resource Tunbridge Wells.

Fresh bread, cakes, and pastries are sourced from nearby bakeries, giving you a taste of local flavours with every visit.

As a craft bar in Tunbridge Wells’ Pantiles, we serve hyper-local, ultra-low carbon, freshly brewed beers on draught from Fonthill Brewing Co.

Enjoy a pint of Good Morning Captain, Fonthill Lager, or Band Meeting, hand-crafted less than a mile up the road.

Also on draught, we’ve got the wonderfully juicy Pilot, a cider from local cidery, Ascension.
